2018 Data Solutions Professional (DSP) Training

Data geek is the new chic.

There is a tremendous volume of workforce and economic data available, but most people don’t know how to use the information to transform the experiences of local employers and job seekers.

The Michigan Bureau of Labor Market Information and Strategic Initiatives has developed a three-day labor market information (LMI) training certification that helps ensure your organization can tap into the power of big data. Build your resume at the same time you’re boosting local results!

WHY SHOULD I ATTEND?

You’ll be one of a handful of professionals capable of understanding how demographic and labor market information is organized and where it can be obtained. What’s more, you’ll know how to apply the data to better assist local area customers.

As part of the fourth cohort of trained workforce data professionals, you’ll be part of a growing network of labor market specialists and a key resource to your organization and your partners.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Nominations are being sought for individuals from Michigan Works! Agencies, economic development organizations, and other key partners representing each region. Participation in this exclusive training is limited.

HOW TO NOMINATE

Please submit a nominee bio (200 words or less) that includes nominee knowledge, skills and background by Friday, June 1, 2018 to Joe Quick, Director of Business Solutions, quickj@michiganworks.org

Nominees will be reviewed by the Labor Market Information and Strategic Initiatives and Michigan Works! Association teams, and selected individuals will be notified by the end of June.
