Expanding Opportunities with the ESL Population (Recorded Webinar)

Michigan Works! organizations cultivate a wealth of partnerships across the state to strengthen the reach of the work and help those who are facing challenges.

Oakland County Michigan Works! and the Troy Public Schools Adult Education program have built a lasting relationship for the English as a Second Language (ESL) participant that has grown into a program benefiting many.

Please join us as staff from Oakland County Michigan Works! and Troy Public Schools Adult Education to learn how to replicate this successful ESL program within your community. Topics will include:

  • Where to start when building the relationship necessary to partner together.
  • How does the referral process look?
  • Just how do you get the students comfortable with the MWA! people?
  • What’s the role of a refugee navigator?
  • How do you fill out all the paperwork involved?
  • And most importantly….success stories!
