Job Seekers have access to Michigan’s Talent Bank, job, career, and skill self-assessment tools, resume writing software and staff support. We provide access to directories of human service agencies and employers. Job Seekers can obtain information on financial aid, occupational training and workplace accommodations. There are basic skills, GED, and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes available at no charge. Weekly workshops are held on resume writing, interviewing skills, and computer comfort. The Resource Area has books, videos, brochures for job seekers. We provide access to word processors, fax and copy machines. We utilize the Michigan Occupational Information System and Open Options for career exploration and planning. Our Service Center Partners provide specialized services to youth, adults, dislocated workers, Veterans, Agricultural workers, persons with disabilities, migrant and seasonal farm workers. Employers receive free Internet job posting on Michigan’s Talent Bank. We provide interviewing facilities at each Service Center or employers can use the Service Center for job fairs. Employers can access information on business start-up, retention, and expansion services. We have resources available on customized training, workplace accommodations, and tax credits. An Employer Service Representative is available to assist employers with posting jobs on the Talent Bank, facilitating job fairs, and searching, reviewing, and sorting resumes based on qualifications, skills or experience. In the Resource Area, employers can access information on recruitment, retention, and advancement of a more diverse workforce along with labor market information. ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Wizard software is available to assist business owners and human resource managers better understand and learn more about the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Michigan Works! - Job Connections - South is on a fixed bus route serving the greater Holland/Zeeland area.
Michigan Works! - Job Connections - North is serviced by Harbor Transit.

Workshops are available at both Service Centers on interviewing, resume writing and computer comfort. The Key Train lab is available at the Holland Service Center three days a week. Key Train helps prepare individuals to take the Work Keys Assessment by providing pre-tests and skill remediation through computer aided instruction.
