4Cs (Community Coordinated Child Care) are utilized for Child Care Provider Information and Referral. The four Largest Services Centers have a "Children's Corner" where customers may keep their children occupied and happy while they work in the center.

Each county in the region has a Local Public Transit System. The Regional Ride Provides fixed route, longer distance public transit focusing specifically on transportation to work. Various Programs under the Northwest Michigan Works! System offer transportation support (mileage reimbursement, car repair, insurance assistance, etc.) depending upon need and eligibility. Goodwill Industries offers a program to provide used cars to needy families in cooperation with Northwest Michigan Works!

Job Fairs are held periodically to meet specific labor market needs. Typically these are conducted in conjunction with business groups. A wide variety of workshops are offered to both job seekers and employers on a regular basis, with topics varying bases on interests and needs. The Northwest Michigan Works! Service Centers are used regularly by employers for training, meetings, recruiting and hiring.
