Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and Your Customer

Do you wonder how you can better connect with your customers and clients? How does trauma in childhood affect adult behavior? This training will help you connect with your customers in a way that is safe for you and them.

Bob Powell, Chief Executive Officer with Family Service and Childrens Aid, will help you answer these questions and more.

The Michigan Works! Association is hosting a full day training to explore how ACEs may impact your customers behavior and how to approach those who have expereinced trauma.

This presentation on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) will increase the knowledge of the audience on how ACES affect our population. The science and research shows that young people who experience abuse, neglect and household dysfunction, collectively known as ACEs, without intervention, have a very high likelihood of facing risky health and social behaviors, addictions, chronic health conditions, low life potential and even early death. The presentation includes information on brain development, epigenetics, ACEs, interventions, and how to intervene with traumatized children and adults, as well as build resilience in our lives and communities.

Any Front-Line staff who has interations with customers including Case Managers and Success Coaches.
