Michigan Works! is the first statewide, unified workforce development system in the country. Every Michigan region is represented by public and private sector leaders who come together to share experiences and develop strategies to keep the state’s workforce strong and growing.

Our members serve as private sector leaders and thought partners whose work drives economic activity and strategic growth in their communities.

The Michigan Works! Association is an independent entity that influences, educates and inspires actions that keep Michigan working. As the state's primary workforce development association, our focus is to continue to move the needle on policy, advocacy, education, and collaboration. We are dedicated to creating opportunity and building stronger communities through our three pillars: voice, knowledge, and connection. 

The Michigan Works! Association is committed to using our voice to advance the interests of the Michigan Works! system through advocacy and participation in the legislative process, sharing research-based practices and information with our members, and using our connections to provide training and networking opportunities for leaders and members within the system. We offer resources that build Michigan’s workforce and ensure economic opportunity for all.
