What Michigan Works! attendees are saying:

  • I learned more about myself and how I am the message. That was impactful. The facilitators were VERY engaging. It was one of the best trainings I have attended.

  • I left a conference with real tools.

  • Practical applicability to work and home!

Our Community Listens is a training that has been utilized by large corporations, non-profits, and human services organizations. It is a three-day communication skills training offering a transformational learning experience to strengthen relationships, align teams, and build stronger communities.

You will:

  • Examine your behavioral tendencies and how to better communicate with others

  • Explore how the Communication Cycle forms the foundation of your interpersonal communication

  • Learn how to listen to connect with others

  • Appreciate the impact your nonverbal behavior has on your verbal communication

  • Develop a more effective way to handle confrontation

  • See and celebrate the good in others

The way we teach is unique. Our facilitators teach from experience as opposed to only delivering information.

  • We have intentional curriculum that continuously loops through...

  • Enlightenment (personal insights),

  • Equipping (practical tools), and

  • Empowerment (practical application and sustainment).
There are only 24 seats available in the class - sign up now before they are gone!

The modules build on each other. It is imperative that you attend each day in its entirety.
This training is applicable to anyone that wishes to communicate effectively with your co-workers, friends, family, and well... anyone you talk to!

The course is three days, running from July 28th through July 30th. We will start every day at 8:30 AM and end each day by 4:30 PM.
