During the last reporting period, we documented that we had an OJT participant that was moving towards a Registered Apprenticeship. This individual came to us last fall, looking for help because she wanted to attend the local Dental Assistant class, but the class ended up not running due to low enrollment.
We assisted her with updating her resume and sent her off to look for clinics that would take her on without experience. She located Zubke Family Dentistry, who eagerly took her on as an OJT. Once the OJT came to an end, Zubke was interested in seeing where they could assist her with continuing her career path.
Together we worked on registering a Dental Assistant program and they quickly registered their first apprentice. She is now taking her RTI through CareerStep and logging hours towards her OJL requirement.
